Wardrobe Essentials for Warm Weather
Somehow this spring feels a bit more like the world is waking up - and I’m surprised at how ready my winter-loving self is for warmer weather. Maybe it’s because we had lots of snow this winter, or because warmer weather means easier outdoor meet-ups.
Either way, the sunshine and budding flowers feel more hopeful than ever, and I’m ready to slip into a dress, grab an iced coffee, and meet a friend for a picnic under the blossoming cherry trees in the park. Perhaps with two books - one delightfully happy, one thoughtfully stirring.
Here are five wardrobe essentials I’m relying on this season:
1. White Dresses
Preferably either mini-length with a sleeve or midi-length without; eyelet lace more than welcome!
2. Basket Bags
How many basket bags is too many? This is a limit-does-not-exist scenario in my book.
3. Cozy Cardigans
Carry over just a little winter coziness to ward off any chill in the mornings or evenings.
4. Floral Everything
Mais oui, Botticelli your life! What I wouldn’t give for Flora’s dress straight out of Primavera. Rodarte, can you hear me?
5. Shoes that Don’t Work for Slush
We may have puddles to contend with sometimes, but icy grey slush is gone! Celebrate with your favorite pair that was hopelessly impractical in March - mules, slides, espadrilles.
